How Many Articles Do You Need to Get AdSense Approval for Blogger?

There is no doubt that AdSense approval process can be tricky. Beginners are often discouraged by vague requirements and multiple rejections. One of the most asked questions is the numbers of the articles needed to get AdSense approval.

AdSense does not provide us with a specific number. That's right, there is no specific requirements on how many articles you need to get approval! So, does that mean that we can get approval with just one article? We will discuss this issue further.

First of all, it may be strange for most people that AdSense does not provide an exact number needed for the approval process. Why does AdSense not provide us with more information? The answer is closely related to quantity versus quality.

Value and Relevancy in AdSense Approval

You need to understand the basic concept of monetization. In order to make money, you need to provide useful services. The goal of AdSense is to reward creators who provide valuable and relevant contents.

Now I shall ask you, does the amount of published articles affect the value and relevancy of your website? The answer is yes, but also no.

Of course, when you provide more articles, the value of your website will increase. If you provide more information, your website will become more relevant.

how many articles for adsense approval?

However, the amount of published articles is irrelevant when the quality of the articles is low. If you have a lot of published articles, but the information is not relevant and useless, then the quantity becomes meaningless.

When you have 1000 articles, but those are articles are not valuable, then you will not get AdSense approval. On the other hand, it you have 10 valuable and relevant articles, then it is possible to get approval.

AdSense value the quality of your articles above the quantity. Therefore, it is not possible to set a specific number. This is the reason why there is no requirement for the amount of published article to get approval.

Again, the value and the relevancy of your articles are the big two factors that will affect your chance if approval.

Now let's revise the question: how many valuable and relevant articles do we need to publish to get AdSense approval? Because AdSense doesn't not provide an exact number, then theoretically you can get approval with just one super valuable and relevant article.

However, in reality, this will not be the case. A website is not just the articles. You need to provide a good website to deliver your content to the users. Your valuable and relevant articles will be useless if your website can not be accessed properly.

The Number of Published Articles Needed to Get AdSense Approval Based on My Experience

In my personal experience, I could get an approval from AdSense with a good functioning website that contains 4 relevant and valuable articles. That happened to me one time. Usually however, I would ask for approval when I have at least 25-30 published articles.

More is always better, as long as they are all good quality.

So does that mean you will get approval with 25 articles? Not always. Again, because AdSense does not use the quantity of the articles to decide approval, it will assess the quality. If they are deemed to be not valuable enough then you need to improve your website.

So in my opinion, the quantity of your articles should not your main focus. If you get rejected, it is not a big deal. Just add more few valuable and relevant articles, then reapply.

Tips For Applying for AdSense

  1. Do not be too fixated on minimum number of published articles.
  2. Quality, relevancy, and then quantity.
  3. Do not be too hasty to apply. The more relevant articles that you have published, your chance of approval will be higher. I'd advice you to apply only when you have at least 30 good articles.
  4. If you are rejected, do not reapply right away. Add 5 more relevant articles every time you got rejected.
  5. Take your time and be patience.
